Reiki
Reiki is an energy balancing technique that promotes stress reduction, relaxation and healing. Reiki energy is gently offered to your entire body and energy field. Reiki releases muscle tension, calms the mind, and optimizes the flow of energy through your chakras.
Reiki has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki principles set the healing intent as positive and works independently of any religion or spiritual belief system. It is not a religion and has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive Reiki.
Reiki treats the person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body as a whole. Reiki is powerful, yet wonderfully gentle and nurturing.
Compassion is the ultimate healer, and as Reiki focuses on helping us remember our universal connection to all things, the more we receive, the deeper our healing can go.
Certified Medical Reiki Master™
Certified to offer Integrated Energy Medicine through Medical Reiki, allowing me to enter medical treatments to bring benefit to a patient's medical experience. As a Medical Reiki Master, I have been trained to safely administer Reiki to clients in clinical settings such as operating rooms, infusion suites, diagnostic labs, labor and delivery rooms, birthing centers, hospice and more.
The use of Reiki as a tool to improve health has been supported in several published papers to reduce: pain, anxiety pre-and post-surgery, symptoms of chemotherapy, motional stress, depression post-surgery, and recovery time. In addition, studies show that Reiki positively impacts the nurses, physicians, and other hospital workers contributing to the patients' care.
Trained by Raven Keys Medical Reiki International with a curriculum by the late Raven Keyes, a Medical Reiki Master who worked closely with Dr. Sheldon M. Feldman, chief of breast cancer surgery at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital to provide Reiki to patients before, during, and after surgery. She documented her clinical experiences in her book Medical Reiki.
Beyond the potential patient benefits, there is practical value for including Reiki in clinical settings because patients are increasingly asking for complementary therapies. This contributed to premier healthcare institutions offering Reiki programs: Duke Integrative Medicine, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Children's Hospital Boston, Mayo Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine and Digestive Center, among many others.
